What Do You Need To Download?

When the Sandes App first became functioning, the officials were required to enter their Government ID to become users. However, now with the app becoming usable for the common public, there are only some pre-requisites  

• iOs users should have an operating system of iOs 11 or above to download it from the App Store.

• Android users who are required to download the Sandes App from the APK file as it is not available on Google PlayStore yet, should have operating system 5.0 or above.

• An active working mobile number or email address which will be the registering information

Installation And Signing Up

Once you’ve completed downloading the Sandes App on your respective devices, you can move on to the account set up. It is an easy-to-do method that only requires you to verify your identity.

First step: open the app and punch in your active mobile number or your email address, as you prefer.

Second step: you’ll receive a ‘One Time Password’ (OTP) on your device, using which you can complete the second step of verification.

Third step: once you verify, enter your personal information and start texting with your contacts; like any other messaging platform.

Moreover, it is incredibly easy to use as its interface is very similar to the existing messaging apps like Whatsapp. Sandes App provides group making, message broadcasting, emojis, and end-to-end encryption for users in terms of features. Public Consumer Use Of Sandes App

After the pandemic peaked in India and the lockdown restrictions were in full effect; the Government of India made some upgrades to the already existing private messaging platform GIMS, which was exclusive for officials.
